  The Inaugural Conference of the African Evaluation Association, held in Nairobi on 13-17 September 1999, was attended by more than 300 evaluators from 35 countries. More than 80 papers were presented covering all major areas of evaluation research.

Read more Second AfrEA Conference 2002
  The Second AfrEA Conference, held in Nairobi, Kenya on 10-14 June 2002, was organised by the AfrEA Organising Committee and UNICEF. It brought together close to 300 evaluators, researchers, policy makers, evaluation users and donors from Africa, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Colombia and USA. The Conference also enabled the creation of appropriate an forum to support the establishment of self-sustaining professional associations of evaluators at the national levels in the various African countries.

Read more Third AfrEA Conference 2004
  The African Evaluation Association held a very successful Third Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, on 1-4 December 2004. The Conference was attended by a record number of 550 people from 56 countries, of which 36 were in Africa. More than 250 participants attended the 10 pre-conference professional development workshops held on 29-30 November.
